SURPRISE! It's a Proposal!
In the beginning of the summer, a previous client of mine, Marnie, got me in contact with her co-worker Brennan. He wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Mackenna, before they left for a family trip to the Midwest.
When I chatted with Brennan on the phone, I could feel his excitement through the phone. He knew exactly how, when and where he wanted to propose. He even had their outfits planned out! He was going to propose to her the night before their trip back home for Mackenna's sister's birthday. Brennan said it felt perfect because he wouldn't have the stress of carrying the ring on the plane, and they'd have a night to themselves before the family chaos started.
Brennan picked Gas Works park as it had an amazing view of the skyline. The perfect backdrop to get down on one knee. The proposal went off without a hitch. They sat on a picnic blanket watching the day go by before their dinner reservations. I sat behind them, Mackenna none the wiser. As they got up to "leave for their reservations", Brennan got down on one knee and proposed. Mackenna joyfully jumped up and down and immediately said YES.
We walked around the park for a bit taking pictures with her shiny new ring. They were equally excited and so in love. Photographing their joy in the moment was so easy!
